(1) one component waterborne polyurethane coating
First, the prepolymer is synthesized from water-soluble polyether diol (such as polyethylene glycol or EO and PO copolymer containing 10%-40% ethylene oxide blocks), and then the film is formed by sealing -NCO and thermal reaction.
(2) two-component waterborne polyurethane coating
The mechanism is that the evaporation rate of water is much higher than the reaction rate of -NCO and -OH and H2O. Although the system has too much water, the reaction of -NCO and -OH is still the main reaction.
(3) improved waterborne polyurethane coating
Polymerization of acrylate monomers in aqueous dispersion of polyurethane is the main way to produce this kind of coatings.
UV-curable waterborne polyurethane coatings are prepared by introducing double bonds into the molecular structure of dispersions and adding photoinitiators. During construction, they are cured by electron beam or UV light.
