Waterborne acrylic paint sticking back is a common problem encountered by waterborne paint formulators. To solve the problem of water-based acrylic paint sticking, it is necessary to be fundamentally familiar with the causes of water-based acrylic paint sticking. The sticking back of water-based acrylic paints is caused by the increased rheology of linear thermoplastic polymers above the glass transition temperature.
Solving the sticking back of water-based acrylic paint can be considered from several angles:
One: Add high Tg acrylic resin, and use a film-forming aid with faster volatility;
Two: try to use self-crosslinking acrylic resin [AC-3122
acrylic resin];
Three: try to choose acrylic emulsion with less particle size;
Four: Join PUD. PUD has a certain degree of thermosetting, which can reduce thermoplasticity;
Five: Add wax emulsion. Wax emulsion can form a wax film on the surface of the coating and reduce the surface viscosity;
Six: If the resin system contains carboxyl groups, an appropriate amount of metal salts or oxides such as zinc can be added to play the role of ionic cross-linking.
