RF-9601/02/03 is a carboxylated self-crosslinking butadiene styrene copolymer that is specially developed to coat fiberglass mesh. It has excellent tensile strength and soft hand feeling. It can be used alone or blended with other Ruico hard polymer emulsions. It is also good for dip coating process.
Fiberglass mesh is used in reinforcing walls, plaster board, and marble & mosaic. It is coated with a plastic binder to prevent surface cracking. This binder is mainly used as an adhesive for fiberglass mesh. The water-based acrylic adhesive binder glue has good bonding strength, low odor, and quick drying. It has high toughness and water resistance.
Fiberglass is a nonmetallic material with excellent heat resistance and insulation properties. It is also easily conforms to various shapes. However, its wear resistance is poor. Therefore, it is usually processed using the hand lay-up technique. It can be used alone or as a filter stock or tape stock. It is also used in a variety of other products, such as composite flooring, gypsum wall board, asphalt roofing shingles, and gypsum siding.
Binder compositions are used to produce a wide range of fiberglass products. The binder compositions contain phenol-aldehyde resin, Mailiard reactants, and a resin. They can be used to produce various fiberglass products, such as fiberglass roving, fiberglass mat, and fiberglass mesh.
The tensile properties of fiberglass can be improved by using a binder with a reduced LOI. These properties include enhanced dry tensile strength, hot/wet tensile strength, and lower percent loss on ignition.
