Architectural emulsion for architectural coatings
In many emulsion varieties, different polymerization methods result in different emulsion properties. In addition to the general conventional emulsion polymerization process, there are soap-free emulsion polymerization, interpenetrating network emulsion polymerization, core/shell emulsion polymerization, etc.
The more commonly used are styrene-acrylic emulsion, pure acrylic emulsion, vinegar-acrylic emulsion, silicone acrylic emulsion and so on. Architectural emulsions used in architectural coatings are mostly non-crosslinked thermoplastic emulsions, usually classified according to their monomer composition.
The main varieties are: vinyl acetate-acrylate copolymer emulsion (vinegar-acrylate emulsion); pure acrylate copolymer emulsion (pure acrylate emulsion); styrene-acrylate copolymer emulsion (styrene-acrylate emulsion); silicone-acrylate copolymer emulsion Emulsion (silicone acrylic emulsion).
In addition to thermoplastic emulsions, room temperature crosslinking emulsions have also appeared in recent years, such as pure acrylate self-crosslinking emulsions containing crosslinking monomer N-hydroxymethacrylate, room temperature crosslinking emulsions crosslinked by metal ions and random "Escape type" room temperature crosslinked emulsions that crosslink when water evaporates.
